BBMS Annual Dinner 2023

The BBMS Annual Dinner was an esteemed event that gathered distinguished figures from academia and industry, fostering vibrant interactions with a dynamic student community. 

Last year's dinner featured notable guests including Tim Eisen from Roche; Agata Nyga, Head of R&D at StemBond; Anni Ding, Senior Associate at BCG; Charlene Tang, Head of Growth at Cyted and NHS Innovation Fellow; Chloe Johnson, Trainee Patent Attorney at Appleyard Lees; Elena Arciero from Quotient Therapeutics; Harry Bickerstaffe, Senior Consultant at Syneos Health; Michael Salacko, Investment Director at StartCodon; and Namshik Han, leader of computational research and AI at the Milner Institute. 

This event provided a rare opportunity for insightful exchanges between students and leaders in life sciences and technology.

Bridging Academia and the Pharmaceutical Industry

The Bridging Academia and the Pharmaceutical Industry panel event was a valuable forum for undergraduate and postgraduate students exploring diverse career paths in the pharmaceutical industry. The event featured guest speakers from various roles, including lab scientist, data scientist, project manager, and clinical trial manager, who shared their work experiences and career trajectories. 

Speakers included Somaieh Hedayat, Senior Scientist in Bioscience Oncology at AstraZeneca; Pavlos Kotidis, Team Leader of Digital Data & Analytics at GSK; Katrina Budesha, Medical Clinical Operations Partner at Roche; and Antonio Ramos-Montoya, Associate Director in Bioscience, Oncology at AstraZeneca, offering students insights into making informed career choices.
